A day of firsts

Kaylin turned 18 months old on the 3rd, so yesterday was her first full Sunday in nursery without parents! Eric took her during Sunday School the past two weeks. Since she wasn't 18 months old yet a parent had to be in there with her and neither of us could stay for the first hour (Priesthood and Relief Society for our ward... we have the joy of the backwards schedule). We were hoping that she would do fine for 2 hours and that the leaders wouldn't have to come get us. She did great! Eric went in for the first 5 minutes or so and then snuck out.

Here is Kaylin before church, obviously very excited to go to nursery:

And here she is after church, apparently nursery must have been pretty fun:

Besides the first day of nursery, Kaylin and Carter had their first (and second, and third...) kiss. We kept telling them to kiss so we could try to get a picture. Hopefully they don't go kissing every kid they see now. Too funny. I can see this being a great blackmail picture in a few years ;-).

according to the handbook (I checked), a child can go to nursery on the first sunday of the month in which they turn 18 months.

That is key information for a mom who's boy has a birthday on the 20th.

Congratulations on the milestone!

So cute!!! Sorry we missed her first day of nursery. She did better than Rachel ever has (I just hope we don't have to follow her to Sunbeams). Good thing I'm in the Nursery. How was your 4th? I'm home by myself for the first time today... I'm so tired already...but I'm sure it'll get better. I'll be glad when I can get the girls out to go walking.

I love the kisses! Thanks for coming over today. It was so much fun going shopping and hanging out. We'll have to go to ikea soon and find fun fabric, and please email me that dress pattern! Also, we'll get together and make some clippies for Kaylin, whenever... We love you guys so much!
