My Silly Girl

It's been a little while since we've had a "Kaylin's Fashion Corner" post. Wait no longer.

Here's what happens when your 2 year old picks out her own outfit. As in, she opened her drawers and took out what she wanted to wear. Normally I just let her pick between 2 shirts or 2 pairs of pants or what color socks she wants to wear. Lately the attire has mostly been only a diaper since it's 86 degrees INSIDE OUR HOUSE right now.

Here we have the lovely nearly too small swimsuit with swimsuit bottom hat.

One hat is not always enough. Stacking hats is quite in right now.

One should always wear closed toe shoes while cooking (or at least that was the rule in Home-Ec class).

On another note, one of Kaylin's four dolls has somehow become "the chosen one". She pretty much goes everywhere with us. Her name is Baby. I know, very creative. I need to figure out a good way to clean her because I am sure she is disgustingly dirty. She sleeps with Kaylin, rides in the car, goes to church (and sits in the trunk while Kaylin is in nursery, shhhhh... don't tell), goes to the store, goes to friends' houses, goes to my doctor appointments and even gets her own chair in the waiting room when she's lucky. One day she was lucky enough to go to the park.

Kaylin and Baby both love the slide. Kaylin would say, "Baby's turn." Then Baby would go down. Then she would say, "Kaylin's turn" and she would go down. It was even "Mommy's turn" a couple of times, lucky me. I looked pretty awesome going down the little kid slide.

Those pictures are AWESOME! Totally wedding-slide show-worthy! :) I'm so sorry it is so hot right now. You don't have AC, huh? That's the worst! I feel like heat affects me more since I'm pregnant, so I feel even worse for you. We get a lot of hot weather, but now we at least have central AC so I can escape it.

So as far as Kaylin's baby goes, it looks like it is the same one Ellen has. I just barely washed hers because the fabric was totally grey (nasty dirty). I just soaked it in the sink overnight with some detergent, then scrubbed the remaining dirt with my stain remover stuff, and then rinsed it really well. It looks so much better! Not totally like new, but not so nasty. Ellen's baby also goes almost everywhere with us...

I agree with Jennifer- those would be GREAT slide show pictures for Kaylin's wedding. I am facinated by this stacking hat fad- I think I may try it.
We just got Brighton a normal sized baby doll and she's gone every where with us too. So far, she's not dirty. But with B's other dolls, I just threw them in the washer (we have a hand wash cycle, or use delicate, or "light") and then let them air dry. Good luck with "baby."

Nice. She can give Macey some fashion tips while we're in CA.

Go to the store and buy an outfit for the doll. It is so much easier to wash doll clothes instead of the actual doll. I sure learned that lesson from Jenna when she carried her "baby doll" everywhere. Usually they have clothes at toys r us and sometimes at Target.

Love the outfit on Kaylin! We also have been having the diaper-only attire in our house... How are you feeling? How is baby #2?
